In answer to your question about my hyperthyroid symptoms increasing, yes they have increased and my doctor has told me to increase the carbimazole.However, with this medication I put on too much weight so I dont really want to increase.

We understand your feeling. Normally, we don’t suggest patients to change the dosage of carbimazole in large quantity. This will cause patient’s thyroid hormone decreasing or increasing very sharply. (Increasing from 5mg to 20mg) This is why some patients will put on weight.

Our suggestion is to take 10mg a day. Then, feed back Green Life your feeling every week. Don’t worry! Green Life will guide you how to do!

Actually, many patients may adjust the dosage of anti hyperthyroid meds (carbimazole) by their feeling of symptoms changes. It is even more accurate than doing blood test in hospital. For example, these patients will increase the dosage of carbimazole when they feel heart beat faster or feel heat easily. On the contrary, they will decrease the dosage of carbimazole when they feel slower heart beat and feel cold easily.

Dear Dr. Li,

I went to the Hippocrates Health Institute in June for three weeks. I ate only raw and living foods. it is a good detoxification programme and my high blood pressure became normal. I am now not taking any high blood pressure medication.

On my return home I did some more tests and these are the results:-

Free T3 2.62
Free T4 1.03
TSH 0.18
Thyroglobulin antibodies 250.

My last Thyroglobulin result on the 2nd June was 175.9

I have been taking 18 Thyroid Throu every day. Please explain why my thyroglobulin antibodies have increased and whether that is a problem.

Please let me know also whether I should eat sea vegetables like dulse etc.

We found some patients will get a little bit fluctuation in TGAb during detoxification. Don’t worry, it is normal. Keep yourself in optimized and relax condition will be very good for your recovery. Please add TT-Assistant TT from your 2nd TT treatment. It will speed up the nodule minimization on your neck.

Green Life does not suggest you to take sea vegetable such as kelp. The reason is such rich in Iodine. Iodine is main material of your thyroid hormone. It will make your hyperthyroidism become worse. Please be reminded that you need to avoid all kind of food rich in Iodine such as kelp, fish and shrimp. You can eat some after your thyroid hormone trend to be more balanced.

By the way, you can eat more aloe. It will be helpful in decreasing in antibodies.

Here is the last Ultra-sound report dated 10-July-2008:

-Thyroid is hypervascular & of hetrogenous
echopattern.

-Size of Isthmus is enlarged it is about 0.73.

-Normal size of both lobes.

-The trachea is seen central in position.

-Normal neck vasculature.

-No cervical lymhpadenopathies.

Thanks God, she improved greatly. Now, she is in the begining of the 12th TT treatement, she takes (10x2)Carbimazole 5. She finished about five treatments of T assistant.She didn't like to drink it anymore.
