DESCRIPTION |
| |
Cremocarp,
ellipsoidal, 2-4 mm long, about 2 mm in diameter. Externally
greyish-yellow or greyish-brown; with 2 outcurved stylopods
at the summit, and sometimes with a fine fruit stalk at the
base. Dorsal surface of mericarps with five thin and longitudinal
ridges, commissural surface flattened, with two brown and
slightly raised longitudinal ribs. Pericarp lax and fragile,
easily rubbed off, seed small, greyish-brown and oily. Odour,
aromatic; taste, pungent, cool and numb.

1.
Warming the kidney and strengthening Yang
In treating
importence and female infertility due to deficiency of the
kidney, the drug is often used in combination with drugs for
tonifying the kidney and replenishing vital essence such as
Semen Cuscutae, Fructus Schisandrae, etc.
2. Destroying
parasite and relieving itching
This drug
can be used to treat trichomonas vaginitis, eczema of scrotum,
rubella, scabies, tinea, cutaneous pruritus, etc. In treating
trichomonas vaginalis, streaming method or bathing method
can be used by using the decoction of the drug, Radix Sophorae
Flavescentis, Pericarpium Zanthoxyli, Radix Stemonae, etc.,
or 15g of the drug can be ground into powder with some alum,
and the powder is mixed with water, put on gauze and the gauze
is inserted into the vagina once a day. In treating pruritus
of vulva, 15g of the drug, 3g of alum, 6g of Pericarpium Zanthoxyli
and 12g of Cortex Pseudolaricis can be decocted and the decoction
is used to wash the local area. In treating itching due to
eczema, the drug can be sued in combination with Radix Sophorae
Flavescentis, Fructus Kochiae, Rhizoma Atractylodis, etc.
