This
drug is used to moisten the lung, relieve cough, resolve phlegm
and bring down adverse rise of Qi. This is and effective drug
for moistening the lung, resolving phlegm and relieving cough
and can be used to treat cough, whether it is due to exogenous
invasion or internal damage, cold or heat, deficiency or excess.
In treating cough and asthma which are induced by cold, the
drug can be used in combination with Herba Ephedrae, Semen Armeniacae
Amarum, Fructus Perillae, etc. In treating cough with blood,
the drug and Bulbus Lilii can be ground into powder and made
into pills with honey. In treating severe cough, the drug can
be used in combination with Semen Armeniacae Amarum, Bulbus
Fritillariae Cirhosae, Fructus Schisandrae, etc. |
