herb DESCRIPTION
 

Tangled into masses, Rootlets fine, pale yellow. Stems slender, frequently branched; texture fragile, easily broken, fracture yellowish-white. Leaves small, nearly sessile; lamina mostly crumpled and broken, when whole, spatulate, externally grayish-green or brown, margin 3-5 dentate. Capitulum yellow or yellowish-brown. Odour, slightly aromatic, irritant on selling longer; taste, bitter, slightly pungent.
