1.
Inducing diuresis to treat stranguria
In treating dysuria and stranguria with pain, the drug can be
used with Poria, Semen Plantaginis, Caulis Akebiae, etc,; in
treating stranguria caused by urinary stone, with Talcum, Lumbricus,
etc.; in treating edema, heaviness in the limbs and dysuria
during pregnancy, with Poria.
2. Promoting lactation
In treating galactostasis with distention and pain of the breast,
12g of the drug, 12g of Semen Vaccariae, 15g of Radix Rhapontici
seu Echinopsis and two pig's trotters are cooked together, and
the soup can be drunk and the trotters are eaten.
Besides, this drug can also moisten the intestine and therefore
is used to treat constipation. |
