1.Relieving cough and asthma

In treating common cold due to wind-cold with cough and asthma, this drug can be used in combination with Foulium Perillae, Rhizoma Pinelliae, Poria, etc.

In treating cough due to wind-heat, the drug is often used in combination with Foulium Mori, Flos Chrysanthemi, Radix Platycodi, etc. In treating cough due to dryness in the drug is often used in combination with Cortex Mori Radicis, Radix Asteris, Fructus Schisandrae, etc.

2.Moistening the intestine and relaxing the bowels

This drug can be used to treat constipation in the elderly or in women after childbirth, and is often used in combination with Fructus Cannabis, Semen Persicae, etc
