DESCRIPTION |
| |
Ganoderma
lucidum Outline firmbriate, pileus reniform, semi-rounded
or subrounded, 10-18cm in diameter, 1-2cm thick,. Shell hard,
yellowish-brown to reddish-brown, lustrous, with circular
arrised stripe and radiate wrinkle, edge thin and even, frequently
incurved slightly. The inner part white to brownish. Stip
cylinder, laterally grown, few leaning grown, 7-15cm long,
1-3.5cm in diameter, reddish-brown to purplish brown, luminous.
Spore small and fine, yellowish-brown. Odour, slightly aromatic,
taste, bitter and puckery.
Ganoderma sinensis Shell purplish-black, with lacquer-like
luster. Sporphore rusty-brown. Stip 17-23cm long.
Cultivated Ganoderma Sporphore relatively sturdy, plump, 1-22cm
in diameter, 1.5-4cm thick. Shell frequently coated with a
large of yellowish-brown powder-like spores.

ADVICE |

1.
Tonifying the lung and kidney.
It is
prescribed for patients with symptoms caused by deficiency
of both the lung and kidney, including cough and asthma which
become worse on exertion, shortness of breath and fatigue.
2. Tonifying
the liver and kidney.
It is
usually used in the treatment of symptoms caused by deficiency
in both the liver and kidney, such as tinnitus, deafness and
lassitude of the loins and knees.
3. Tranquilizing
the mind by nourishing the heart.
It is
used in the treatment of patients with palpitation, insomnia
and amnesia due to insufficiency of the heart-qi and deficiency
of the heart-blood.
4. Strengthening
the spleen and stomach to improve digestion.
