ACTIONS AND INDICATIONS
 

1. Tonifying the middle warmer and relieving spasm

This drug can be used to treat listlessness, poor appetite and pain in the epigastrium due to deficency of the spleen and stomach. In treating duodenal ulceration, decoction of 60 g of Mel, 10 g of Radix Paeoniae, 10 g of Radix Glycyrrhizae and 6 g of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae can be taken. This drug has tonifying effect and can be used to regulate drug properties, and therefore tonics are often made into bolus or extract with honey. Some tonics are fried with honey to enhance the tonifying effect.
